General Information
What to expect: Opened in 2001, this hotel is on a quiet residential street in the Shepherd’s Bush district. The hotel is housed in a glass-fronted 1960s building, but the interior is decidedly 21st century. Light streams into the lobby and the open-plan K Lounge. Tiny TVs dot the walls of the lobby and hallways, while the lounge features a long, open fireplace. The hotel’s designer decor and sybaritic spa attract people in the entertainment industry, as well as vacationers seeking something a little out of the ordinary.
Amenity highlights: Indulgences at the hotel include spa treatments at the K Spa (surcharges may apply) and use of the K Fit gym facilities offering weight machines and free weights, cardiovascular machines and daily classes, including yoga (surcharge).
The Kanteen restaurant, flooded with natural light, showcases creative contemporary cuisine. The K Lounge has a dramatic modern look, with leather sofas and an open fireplace. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in all public areas.

K West was designed by Noel Pierce of Portfolio Design International, creators of 51 Buckingham Gate and The Peninsula in Hong Kong. The hotel features a destination spa, along with three large exercise rooms. One is dedicated to resistance machines and free weights, the second has an abundance of cardiovascular machines, and the third is a dance studio with a variety of daily classes, including yoga (entry fees apply). For those with more serious matters to attend to, there’s a business center with high-speed Internet access, and wireless access is available for a surcharge.

Walnut furniture is offset by stainless steel and sandblasted-glass accents. Beds are dressed with hypoallergenic bedding, including square and rectangular pillows. Desks have black-leather chairs, whilst the satellite TVs have an on-demand movie service showing a range of new relaeases. Bathrooms include telephones and marble vanities.

Dining
Kanteen - Situated on the mezzanine level, Kanteen is flooded with natural light from the large windows at the front of the building and the glass bricks at the rear. The room has stylish red-and-blue leather chairs. The menu is modern international, with dishes such as Seared Filet of Tuna Nicoise and Buffalo Mozzarella with Figs. Kanteen serves a full English breakfast, along with lunch and dinner.
K Lounge - Open exclusively to hotel guests, this low-ceilinged room features brown-leather sofas and a modern, open fireplace along one wall. K Lounge serves Continental breakfast each morning and anything from pizza to steak to Thai green curry throughout the day. Coffee by Starbucks. A wide variety of beers, wines, and cocktails is also available.
Recreation
The K Fit gym facilities have three large exercise rooms. One contains resistance machines and free weights, the second has cardiovascular machines, and the third is a dance studio with daily classes, including yoga.

Spa
